Greetings,

The address "sirott@atmos.washington.edu (Joe Sirott)" has been added
to the XGKS mailing-list.

Here are some mailing-list addresses you should know:

To post an article to the mailing-list:
                xgks-list@unidata.ucar.edu [128.117.140.3]

        To submit a bug-report:
                xgks-bugs@unidata.ucar.edu

To correspond with the mailing-list coordinator:
                xgks-request@unidata.ucar.edu

PLEASE SEND ADMINISTRATIVE MESSAGES TO THE MAILING-LIST COORDINATOR AND
NOT TO THE GENERAL MAILING-LIST.

The latest XGKS is available via anonymous FTP:

        host: ftp.unidata.ucar.edu [128.117.140.3]
	directory:	pub/
        file: xgks.tar.Z

The above file is merely a link to the actual compressed tar file, which
has the version number encoded in its name.

For information on XGKS, see the README file in the top-level directory.

If you have neither FTP capability nor Internet access (as, for example,
BITNET- and UUCP-only sites) then you can still obtain XGKS by using an
FTP/email daemon. To obtain information on this service, send a message
consisting solely of the word "HELP" -- with no quotation marks -- to the
appropriate address:

        BITNET/EARN sites: bitftp@pucc.princeton.edu
                                (BITNET address "BITFTP@PUCC").

        all others: FTPMAIL@DECWRL.DEC.COM.

(The subject line of the message will be ignored.)

Regards,
Steve Emmerson <xgks-request@unidata.ucar.edu>
