Instruction on upgrading:

Safest: 
1) Stop fiaif.
2) Upgrade, using the package of your choice.
3) Update existing configuration files to latest syntax. 
4) Test the files by issuing '/etc/init.d/fiaif test'
5) Start fiaif.

Secure:
1) Upgrade fiaif.
2) Update existing configuration files to latest syntax. 
3) Test the files by issuing '/etc/init.d/fiaif test'
4) issue a '/etc/init.d/fiaif restart'.

If FIAIF somehow complains about old or missing state files,
then you can delete all file in /var/lib/fiaif.

If FIAIF wrongly believes that it has already been restarted, then 
delete the file '/var/lock/subsys/fiaif' and retry starting FIAIF.
